My name is Lisa Kjelstrup and I am the broker/owner of United Country Montana-Dakota Real Estate in Glendive. I have been involved with real estate since 2008 and am licensed in Montana and North Dakota. Our office operates as a team and we pride ourselves on staying ahead of the competition with our forward thinking attitude and willingness to try new things.
I am married to Tory Kjelstrup who is the Supervisor of Roadway Equipment for BNSF Railroad. We have two children Faith, who is currently attending law school on an Academic All American scholarship at Creighton University in Omaha, NE and our son attends DCHS high school and enjoys playing football and golf. I am actively involved in several community groups such as Rotary, Kiwanis and Abate. We enjoy several outdoor activities provided by our Eastern Montana countryside such as taking a bike ride on the Harley - boating and agate hunting in the Yellowstone River - camping, tubing and fishing at Fort Peck Lake - hiking the trails in the Badlands at Makoshika Park. I take a pride in my accomplishments of coming to Glendive with practically nothing and building a successful real estate office and team. I have accomplished this by working long hours and dedicating myself to bettering myself as a real estate agent and looking for the next best thing to bring to our office to benefit our clients such as becoming a licensed drone operator for aerial photos and now virtual tours. I have been through the good with bad financially and offer my empathy, experience and knowledge to take you on the journey of buying or selling your next home or property. If you want someone to work as hard for you as I have to make this a successful business please give me a call or text anytime at 406-989-1983 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. God bless and I look forward to working with you.
After receiving my business degree at Dickinson State University in North Dakota, I ventured out to the stunning Evergreen State of Washington. Working for an elite mortgage company in Seattle for 11 years has helped me provide my clients with a strong knowledge base and the skills needed to advise them through the buying and/or selling process. While working in the lending industry, I decided to optimize my proficiency and acquired my real estate license in 2005. After 12 years of being away from home, it was time to reevaluate what was paramount in my life; my career in Seattle, or my family in Montana. Family won hands down. I am so proud to be part of an amazing team here at United Country. We work closely with lenders, title and escrow so that your transaction will close smoothly and in a timely manner. We are committed to the highest ethical standards and will work diligently to achieve optimal results for you.
I credit my upbringing and training for the integrity, energy and creative service I bring to my work. Being raised on a farm near Bloomfield, MT, I learned the value of honesty and hard work at an early age. After studying Business Management and graduating with honors from Kinman Business University in Spokane, WA, I added some diversity to my background and became an airplane mechanic on the 777 at the Boeing Co. in the Seattle area until getting laid off. In coming back to my roots, I bring knowledge of the community and understanding of our market to my clients. Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my family, whether it be going fishing with my husband or attending ball games of my three children. I also enjoy being an active member of Rotary Club International and have started an Interact Club at the middle school, which has been an extraordinary experience watching kids grow into a service above self mentality. I’m excited to be part of the team at United Country where I find true joy in assisting clients with either buying or selling residential, commercial or agricultural properties.
